Greg Snider

Senior Project Developer in the Chicago Office
I was working for a residential builder before I joined Aspen. I enjoyed being on the jobsite, problem solving, and seeing the finished product. In 1998, my father-in-law (Pastor Tom) hired Aspen to build a new church facility. As a member of the building team, I was on the jobsite every day. I got very excited about the opportunity to build houses for God and felt a real call in my life to join the Aspen team. I started out as a Field Construction Manager, which gave me great experience with the church leaders. Looking to have more influence on the whole process, I moved into a Project Developer role. I am able to use the skills I have learned along the way, with my passion to help churches enhance their current and future ministries.

The most rewarding part of my job is...
There are really three things I love: 1) Spending time with the pastors I work with. 2.) Assisting churches with stewarding Kingdom resources – from the sacrificial gifts of their members to their hours of serving the Church. 3) Hearing from churches the testimonies of lives changed.
Outside of work I enjoy...
Time with my family – trips to the beach, walks to the park, long bike rides to our favorite ice cream shop.
Music on my iPod...
Jeremy Camp, Third Day, Casting Crowns
If I could learn one new skill it would be...
I have always wanted to learn to play the piano. I truly enjoy music especially worship, my wife is a gifted pianist and my daughter is now learning to play.
My favorite family tradition is...
I have two 1) Every Saturday morning I make breakfast for the family. I treasure the relaxed family time. I even dream of the day my kids are grown and Mom and Dad’s kitchen is always open for family time. 2) Our annual all family vacation to Michigan. Every year we rent a place to share with all of my wife’s family and spend a week together under the same roof.
