Hamilton Hills Baptist Church Addition (Architecture)

The Aspen Group Architecture process takes a project through a collaborative process with the design team and an established network of subcontractors that creatively solve constructability issues before they arise. Hamilton Hills Baptist Church in Fishers, Ind. experienced the benefits of this team approach first-hand.

During the Feasibility process, Aspen Group architects had created a conceptual design for the church’s children’s ministries addition. It was now time to turn that plan into a constructible facility.

The design required extensive interior theming to create a bright, engaging space children would love. As the interior plan solidified, the Aspen team realized the various lighting elements would require an extensive electrical plan; one that would involve several meetings with a local electrical contractor to ensure no elements would be overlooked and the church’s budget met.

The solid relationship between the contractor and the Aspen team, as well as the church’s willingness to follow Aspen’s lead, allowed the complex plan to be reviewed and improved during Architecture, saving the church time and money in Construction.

The Architecture process successfully joined the original design intentions with a constructible building just for kids. The in-floor LED lights, whimsical fixtures, and fiber optic ceiling and mural lighting integrate into the complete design to create an environment children are eager to visit and disappointed to leave.
