Church of St. Benedict

This 12,400 square-foot church replaces the previous facility at the same site. The new church features soaring laminated wooden arches on the interior and natural light in the worship area.

“The design came from talking among ourselves and asking what’s really important to us, what really counts,” said Dave Smith, building committee chair. “We are a family-oriented church. We found out that a feeling of community was among the most important things to us, and the education of all our members, with an emphasis on our youth, also was a high priority.”

The Aspen Group accommodated the church’s needs with a custom design, said Brad Eisenmann, director of business development. “We designed a worship-in-the-round space.” The new building also includes four classrooms, large children’s nursery, multipurpose space and room for the church’s “Godly Play” program for children ages three to seven.
