Warsaw Community Church
Sometimes a church that doesn’t look like a church is the best solution.
Situated in a city with a concentration of white-collar professionals, this growing congregation had a clearly defined vision for creative outreach to business workers and the community at large. The plan was to provide a premier conference/performance facility that would be available for business meetings and community functions.
Aspen Group architects designed a facility that combined the approachability of a community center with the comfortable stylishness of a contemporary office building. The 65,000 square foot layout is easily expandable with the main entrance and 1,200-seat worship center at ground level adjacent to a three-story wing with classrooms, nursery rooms and multipurpose meeting rooms of various sizes. It features a two-story atrium that serves as a gathering area and a link to all parts of the building. A contemporary grand staircase leads to the balcony area with additional fellowship space, coffee bar and bookstore.
As planned, this beautiful, yet practical, facility is buzzing with activity nearly every day of the week as various outside groups take advantage of the meeting rooms and services. Best of all, many of those who first enter the building for a business meeting, find their way back later for worship services or other church activities.
