Since my shop class in seventh grade, I have always enjoyed drafting, designing, and figuring out how things are put together. This passion continued into high school at the vocational center, and then into college. The many late nights and studio hours are great times I won’t forget, but now, more than a decade into architecture, there is still always something to learn—the learning is continuous. Aspen was a good fit for me because it allowed me to blend my two passions together—architecture and ministry. It’s great to work with colleagues who share this passion as well.
The Most Rewarding Part of My Job
Knowing and understanding that my work is touched, witnessed, and experienced by so many people. It’s exciting to be even just a small part of building the Kingdom. And not only with building design—it’s the people and the witness that they give to each other and to their community.
Outside of Work
Spending time with my family and friends, especially around a fire pit, being involved in activities with my kids, and playing golf
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.
