Architectural Job Captain
As a kid I had very restless hands. Whether it was crawling around breaking whatever I could get my hands on as an infant/toddler, growing up and playing with Legos and building whatever was on my mind at the time, to learning to play piano, I have always enjoyed using my hands to creatively make (or break) something. This led me to take art classes in middle school and further taking lessons on various instruments in high school until finally choosing to pursue a career in architecture in college.
Why I Joined Aspen
“Building for Ministry.” Those were the three words that first caught my eye when I came across the Aspen website. As a believer, I have always had a strong desire for ministry and to use my talents and gifts for the church. I knew that working at Aspen Group would not only be fun and exciting, but it would give me a sense of purpose and a greater vision for the gifts that God has given me.
The Most Rewarding Aspect of My Job
Realizing that the work I enjoy doing is a ministry that helps build God’s Kingdom and hearing how church ministries have exponentially grown through the design work that Aspen does motivates and encourages me to keep my passion for architecture and the church going.
Outside of the Office
I love to relax on the couch with my family, watching a good movie or the T.V. (Korean variety shows are the best!). I also try to stay physical throughout the week, working out at the gym, and when the weather is nice, going out for a jog or playing tennis.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
– Psalm 27:4
