I joined Aspen Group in early 2018 as a Studio Administrative Coordinator, assisting the Carmel, Indiana, office with behind the scenes administrative duties in the pre-construction phase. I enjoy this aspect of my job, as I love collaborating with a team to assist in achieving goals.
I have a diverse career background in many fields: I am a licensed cosmetologist of 17 years, a medical assistant, an executive assistant (and later the operational manager) at a scrap metal yard, a sales coordinator for a ready-mix concrete supplier, I continue to support our family-owned golf course with sales and marketing, and I am currently in the process of attaining a real estate license. I am an avid learner and never pass an opportunity to learn a new skill or take on a new adventure. Although my areas of employment are diverse, they emphasize providing service and help to others.
The Most Rewarding Aspect of My Job
During my years in the scrap metal and concrete industry, I fell in love with the construction field. I thoroughly enjoy experiencing the process behind the creation of something new, learning the “why” behind it, and seeing the finalization of the project. Witnessing the growth of God’s Kingdom and the impact and excitement that a new or improved church facility has on the ministry and congregation is amazing. I am truly thankful to be able to work with so many intelligent, creative, and welcoming co-workers who inspire me to grow as well.
Outside of the Office
Outside of the office you will find me spending much of my time with my family. My husband and I have been together for 10 years. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats who are our “fur children.” My favorite hobbies are primitive rug hooking, punch needle embroidery, drawing, working in my flower beds, and reading non-fiction.
“He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge: His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” –Psalm 91:4
