A SPACE TO BOLDLY EXPAND SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

Since 1999, Shepherd’s Heart Care Center has served individuals in Geneva, IL, and throughout the area from right inside Chapelstreet Church. They started small, but grew rapidly over the years through word of mouth, and eventually outgrew their space.

By 2019, Shepherd’s Heart saw an opportunity to go beyond food and supplies, and offer holistic care. But they wanted more than ample room. They also wanted to set the right tone for their visitors and volunteers. We helped meet their unique needs with a 235 sq. ft. addition and 5,595 sq. ft. renovation — spaces that are welcoming, dignified, and beautiful.

A BETTER FUTURE FOR CHAPELSTREET CHURCH

From the outside in, our renovation balances practical use of space with warm, welcoming design. It starts with a new entrance, a vestibule addition, and a new lobby with generous seating for individuals and families.

We also built larger meeting areas and administrative spaces, as well as an expanded food pantry and distribution center.

This expanded space allows Shepherd’s Heart to serve over 1400 people and host 230 volunteers, and to expand its ministry to include financial services, legal services, and addiction ministries.
